3M Pressure Sensitive Tapes for Cost-Effective Carton Sealing
Whether you seal cartons with a manual tape dispenser or a carton sealing machine like the ones shown above, Sun Packaging recommends 3M pressure sensitive tapes. Stronger, and with more secure adhesives than cheap tape, 3M high quality tape prevents the need to over tape, resists tearing and splitting, and provides the strength and adhesion needed for security and helps prevent unwanted carton openings. Available in clear, colors, or pre-printed, there's a 3M carton sealing tape that's right for every sealing job.
3M 371 Carton Sealing Tape - available in hand length and systems length rolls. Polypropylene tapes for single-wall, low burst strength RSCs with high weight contents. More than 3,000 minutes adhesion to fiberboard. Tensile strength of 22 lb/inch in machine direction; 44 lb/inch cross direction. Pressure-sensitive rubber resin adhesive instantly seals cartons. Its biaxially oriented polypropylene backing is easy to handle and dispense. Resists abrasion, moisture, chemicals, and scuffing. Conforms around edges and over rough surfaces for a tight seal. Good edge tear and split resistance. - Complies with environmental considerations of ASTM D1974-92.
3M 311 Carton Sealing Tape - available in hand length and systems length rolls. Polypropylene tapes with pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive bonds lighter weight recycled corrugated instantly and holds through wide temperature swings. Tensile strength of 25 lb/inch in machine direction; 40 lb/inch cross direction. Good aging properties in sunlight and fluorescent light. Holds through wide temperature swings, specifically in colder and damper environments. The biaxially oriented polypropylene backing is easy to handle and dispense. Resists abrasion, moisture, chemicals, and scuffing. Conforms around edges and over rough surfaces for a tight seal. Good edge tear and split resistance. Standard width: 48 mm
