Hand Strapping
Before there was stretch film, strapping was the only way to unitize pallets, boxes and a host of other products. It’s still a great and viable method of packaging but now, plastics are replacing steel as the material of choice.
If you are using steel, switch to Signode Tenax polyester and start saving 50% or more on your strapping cost.

Pneumatic/Battery Tools
Pneumatic and battery powered hand tools take most of the effort out of tensioning and sealing by performing those operations at the push of a button or lever. Powered hand tools are typically used to reduce operator fatigue, improve strapping efficiency and provide uniform tensioning. Signode combination tools utilize air or battery power to tension, seal and cut off plastic strapping. These tools are available in seal-feed and sealless Tension-Weld® models. |

The PT/BTS is the most economic way to use machinery to create Tenax’s signature friction-weld. If you’re on a tight budget, this combination of manual ratcheting tensioner and battery operated sealer is the tool for you. |
|
The BXT combination tool applies polyester strapping, utilizing friction weld joint technology to join the strap ends. The fully battery-operated BXT has a simple two-button process and ergonomic design to reduce operator fatigue. |
|
The model VT-10 and VT-13 combination tools apply Contrax, Dymax and Tenax strapping. Strap ends are joined with Signode's patented Tension-weld process, eliminating the need for metal seals. |
Manual Hand Tools
Manual hand tools are the most basic form of strap application equipment. They are perfect for operations that either do not have access to power sources or do not require the speed of powered hand tools. |
